Job Description - Design and detail required drawings by first developing concepts, do required research,

computation and analysis as needed

- Create, using the latest CAD software, all necessary machine shop detail drawings,

mechanical components, sub-assembly, and assembly drawings including BOM- Ensure engineering specifications and other documents are stored accurately and at

appropriate location as per engineering procedures - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational programs and

review of engineering publications

- Successfully execute assigned design responsibilities with timely release of drawings as

per M7 dates by working closely with the Project Leader - Ensure that released designs conform to Samco engineering standards and meet specific

project requirements as per the Accepted Customer Purchase Order - Successfully execute assigned projects with timely release of long lead and standard

components - Fully and effectively use the Samco Product Development Process &checklists - Ensure that designs, drawings, and Bill of Materials are accurate and complete

- Ensure designs are released on time to meet M7 release dates - Meet budgeted engineering hours as assigned

- Respond to issues related to designs for manufacturing, assembly, and testing on a

timely basis - Process Engineering Change Requests on a timely basis to ensure errors are not

repeated

- Collaborate with the Project Leader and co-workers to ensure engineering procedures

are followed and quality designs are released to accomplish personal, departmental and

company goals - Exchange information and knowledge on all engineering and other departmental,

company issues - Maintain effective and ongoing communication with other Mechanical, Electrical and

Tooling engineering during the design process - Maintain positive and productive working relationship with supervisor, co-workers, and

other members of Samco

- Be courteous and helpful when dealing with customers, suppliers,
