Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for preparing extension of time applications, prolongation cost claims, delay & disruption cost claims, handling litigation & legal notices, Arbitration cases & Civil suits & deal all the matters in the company pertaining to Contract & Commercial laws such as Indian Contract Act & Companies Act.

Key Responsibilities for Project Jobs:

Have in depth knowledge of Indian Contracts Act

Have in depth knowledge of Arbitration and Conciliation Act

Have in depth knowledge of Indian and International Arbitration

Handling Litigations, Legal notices, Arbitration, filing Civil & Criminal suits

Co ordinating with external legal consultants & counsels

Performing legal research & writing case notes on various legal cases & corporate issues.

Knowledge in Limitations Acts

Knowledge of various other relevant Act

Knowledge of infrastructure project works

Drafting and Vetting subcontracts, main contract amendments

Should possess knowledge in prolongation cost claims

Knowledge in Extension of Time application.

Must have knowledge in preparation of Delay and Disruption cost claims.

Must have a good understanding of infrastructure project works.

Good understanding of Contract conditions of FIDIC & PSUs like IOCL, NTPC, NPCIL, HPCL etc.

Knowledge of Shareholder agreement, Project financing agreements, strong knowledge of general & corporate laws & statutory requirements & regulations will be added advantage in preference of employment.

Knowledge of Labor laws & Indirect Tax Laws will also be an added advantage.
