Job Description

Ensure timely dispatch of both domestic and export finished products to the customers in coordination with the Production, QC and Marketing departments with the correct labels and documents

Attend to customer complaints received through the Marketing department on incorrect/absence of labels, inappropriate/absence of documents, leakages etc. Also investigate the matter to find out the root cause and take corrective action & put preventive measures in place

Prioritise dispatches, plan routes and allocate manpower on urgent/last moment consignments

Coordinate with the Marketing department on PO, road permit and customer related issues and mail them the quotes for transport vehicles

Obtain quotes from vendors on predetermined routes and accordingly arrange for transport of goods

Refer to the checklist prior to dispatch and ensure the consignments compliance to the set norms

Ensure that statutory documents such as excise documents invoices, ARE 1 & 3 are properly prepared as per the excise norms for each consignment

Train workmen in the safe handling of consignment, labelling of containers and storage

Review sales orders with respect to destination, dispatch date, delivery date, applicable taxes and duties

Track vehicles after dispatch

Give direct instructions to contract workers relating to loading & unloading of

consignments

Prepare invoice for export, domestic goods and scrap.
