Requirement in UK for Care Home Nurse (CHN)

Diploma in Nursing

At least 12 months exp as a Healthcare Assistant/Registered Nurse in a hospital or other caring environment

IELTS or OET certification (If not, Medserve will provide training)

Requirements

Understanding of geriatric health, mobility issues and nursing best practices

Problem-solving and efficient decision making, especially in emergency situations

Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening, to determine client needs

and deliver progress reports

Organization, multi-tasking and scheduling.

Interpersonal skills, including relationship management, conflict management and

willingness to access constructive feedback.

Understanding of the principles of nursing

The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary.

Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills that allow them to get to know their patients, build personal

rapport and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing patients health

and comfort

Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings,

administering shots and setting up and monitoring IVs
