We are looking for a reliable and competent intern who can assist our team in conducting research, for a new project into the development of women's menstrual hygiene and health care for rural communities. We are looking for a local intern situated towards the border of Gujarat, that will have access to the project and the nearby areas. The placement will run for a minimum of 6 months - 1 year, and accommodation and salary can be negotiated. The intern must have an interest in development or women's empowerment and prior knowledge and experience is encouraged. They will be briefed with information regarding the project and will be tasked with collecting and analysing data. They will be examining the main area of study across multi-disciplinary platforms, and provide substantial data for the Organization to use in the development of their schemes. The intern will be required to collect personal data, requiring a confident and approachable manner to be essential and conducive to sensitive subject areas. The intern must be fluent in Hindi and knowledge of local dialects will strongly advantageous. They must be a graduate and have previous experience in conducting independent research and confident in collecting, analysing and presenting both numerical and qualitative data. A proficiency in Microsoft and research related software, with proven abilities in collecting and handling data is essential. Prior knowledge into womens health and menstrual hygiene will be beneficial, and they must be confident in dealing with, and communicating about sensitive topics. Strong organization and communication skills should be evident, and reliability when working to a deadline. The organization will look to support accommodation and negotiation into salary can be discussed. There can be support with commuting, however familiarity with the local area towards the Gujarat border and accessibility is desired, and a local candidate will be preferred.
