Responsibilities and Duties

To ensure Safety awareness amongst the employees for conducting Mining

operation in a safe manner. All safety issues are immediately reported to

the site manger & concern authorities.

To ensure conducting daily work planning meeting/tool box meeting and all

employees to be briefed about work to be undertaken in the shift as per

planning.

To ensure daily supervision of the working areas of the mine as per rules &

regulations.

To ensure that mining mate has rightly connected all the cables for getting

the face blasts and ensure exist of all employees from the area before the

blast.

To ensure own availability till the end of the shift in the area under the

charge till reliever reports as a substitute.

To ensure immediate proceedings in the areas once information of an

accident is received, visit the site, inspect the place, if required supervise

the rescue operations and shall report the details to the site manager and

other authorities.

To ensure the completion of inspections of the area after the blast,

proceeds to the station appointed under the regulation
