JOB DESCRIPTION

To assist Cardiac Surgeries

Should be competent in vein harvesting

To take over and hand over the patient to the floors/ ICU.

Maintain a clean and sterile OT at all times.

Check and maintain all records of OT equipment and take necessary actions whenever required

Plan and schedule all OT supplies/ instruments/ equipment effectively so that they are optimally utilized

Maintain the OT records with respect to patients and equipment as per policy

Plan and schedule manpower for surgeries effectively without wastage of time and manpower.

Managing and providing supportive staff during critical incidents/ emergency situations.

Be open to discuss any sentinel events/ near misses for promoting corrective action and ensuring high quality patient care.

To assist in ensuring OT policies and procedures are followed at all times

Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.

Participate in consultants rounds and assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.

Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipments are in working order.

Maintain patients and accompanies safety by taking preventive measures against accidents.

Accurately records and reports incidents.

Ensure every error to be recorded.

Ensure strict infection control protocol and bio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24x7.

Ensure that daily briefing points and sign off are mandatory for day to day update.
