Overview
The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) was established as an autonomous Research and Development Institution of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (formerly Department of Ocean Development), Government of India on the 25th May 1998.
Essential Educational Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Marine Sciences/Meteorology/Remote Sensing & GIS from a recognized University with a valid NET or GATE qualification.
Desirable : Programming skills in Matlab,Ferret,GrADS,Arc GIS etc. Knowledge of physical oceanography,meteorology & usage of satellite-based data products. Sailing experience.
Age Limit : Maximum Age is 28 years. Age relaxation will be as per GOI Norms.
