Overview
Position
Purpose :To
provide remote or Onsite Technical Support on implementation of technology using various
networking and security products and applications to resolve product related issues through research
and troubleshooting.
Basic Criteria:
3+ years experience in configuration and troubleshooting highend
networks and security appliances.
The Ideal candidate will be an Engineer, who is a selfstarter,
with excellent interpersonal,
communication, documentation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Quality focus, result & goal orientation in a group situation, and commitment to customer delight are
a must.
Debugging hardware & software system level problems in a multivendor
multiprotocol
network
environment.
Skills/Job Description:
Basic Skill Set:
Good
understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP,
FTP, TFTP).
Experience
in VLANS, Tagging IEEE
802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1d,802.1w, with InterVLAN
Routing
.
Experience
on routing protocols RIP V1/V2, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
At
least CCNA & CCNP Security (preferred).
Should
have working knowledge on Cisco Router & Switches.
Good
experience on Cisco Routing & Switching.
Have
knowledge of MPLS / VPN network, Star and Hub topology and other WAN technologies like
ISDN and LL etc.
Understanding
of ITIL Support ticket driven process.
Manage
network to ensure issues are addressed as per SLA as per ITIL process to minimize
downtime.
Willing
to work in 24/7 environment.
Good
communication is mandatory.
Participate
in 24 x 7 callout
rota as required.
Experience
in Remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of network connectivity issues.
Core Skill Set:
Knowledge
on Authentication Protocols like TACAS/RADIUS/802.1x.
Working
knowledge on Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper ,Fortinet, SonicWall, Netscreen, Juniper SRX.
