After graduating from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Ramdas Pai went to Temple University, Philadelphia, to earn a post graduate degree in hospital administration.\r\n\r\nHe returned in 1961 to join KMC as Administrator and accelerated the expansion of the groupu2019s foray into education.\r\n\r\nA strong advocate of public-private partnerships, he built on his fatheru2019s vision to provide world class education at affordable rates. In 1993, the Indian government granted the group a Deemed University Status, and there was no looking back.\r\n\r\nHeu2019s a member of Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Senate and Syndicate of Mangalore University, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and numerous other educational, business and social organisations.
