SOMA SPECIALITIES PVT. LTD. was founded as Soma Corporation in 1992 by its founder & visionary Mr. Om P Sabu. After completing his Masters in Industrial Engineering, he started his career in the cleaning industry in 1974 as a cleaning contractor. As the only single disc scrubbers for floor cleaning were highly expensive imported machines, he decided to try his hand at developing a machine indigenously for the Indian market. In the year 1990, in a small space at the back of his office, they started to work on what was to be the first & highest selling Indian single disc scrubber.
