Periyar University

The Government of Tamil Nadu established the Periyar University at Salem on 17th September 1997 as per the provisions of the Periyar University Act, 1997. The University covers the area comprising the districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. Qualifications & Experience : Ph.D in Biotechnology with specialization in Plant Biology/Plant Biotechnology/Botany and experience in natural rubber plant research. Desirable Experience : Candidates should have good knowledge in identification of natural rubber plants collection,cultivation as well as hands on experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology techniques as evidenced from peer-reviewed publications and also excellent analytical, presentation as well as research article writing skills.
