It is proposed to fill up one position of Junior Research Fellow on contractual basis under the DST Project entitled A whole genome based reduced representation approach for resistance against sugarcane yellow leaf virus in Indian Sugarcane by Walk-in-Interview at ICAR - Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Regional Centre, Near Pranami Mandir, Model Town, Karnal - 132001(Haryana) on 27.04.2018 at 10:00 A.M. Qualification : Post Graduation (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Life Sciences from recognized University with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor degree and 2 year Master degree OR Master degree in life/basic sciences with 3 year bachelor and 2 year master degree having NET/GATE/Equivalent qualification. Specialization of life/basic sciences in Genetics/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Plant Pathology/ Plant Sciences/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany with experience in Plant Molecular biological techniques Desirable : Research experience with hands-on expertise in molecular biological techniques and working knowledge on Next-generation sequencing and Bio-informatics Age : 30 years for men & 35 years for women. The age limits are relaxable for SC, ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms
