Online applications are invited for Teaching Posts at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Gangadhar Meher University (hereafter GMU), Sambalpur 768 004, Odisha, India. Qualification : (i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline. (ii) A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). (iii) A minimum of 8 (eight) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 (five) publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. (v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Regulation, 2010 (vi) Consolidated API scores of 300 points is required from categories II & III of APIs (Cumulative) along with other specified eligibility qualifications stipulated in the Regulations 2010, as amended vide UGC Gazette notification dated 11.07.2016. Desirable Qualification : Industrial microbiology/Enzyme technology; Plant tissue culture & Plant genetic engineering; rDNA technology /Animal tissue culture/Genetic engineering/Proteomics; Medical Biotechnology; Bioprocesses & Fermentation technology; In silico studies & modeling; Biosenors/Nanomedicine; Environmental/Agricultural nanotechnology. Application Fee : A. There is an application fee of INR 2500.00 from candidates belonging to General and OBC/SEBC Category. B. The application fee for SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates is INR 1500.00. C. The application fee is non-refundable. Note : Preference will be given to candidates having research experience and academic exposure in the specialized areas mentioned above against each subject. However, candidates with specializations other than the specified above are most welcome to offer their candidature.
