ATCO s a name synonymous with the revolution in weighing scales. Since 1987, Atco has expanded its product portfolio by adding safety and security products,instrumentation products, retail automation products and material handling products. While starting a factory to make these additions, we underwent a painful exercise in looking for various items and suppliers.We had enormous delays and the reliability of various vendors and quality of their products was questionable as there was no organized retail channel for these products. Procurement was a cumbersome task.The purchase team was constantly missing deadlines and were incurred greater storage and handling costs to avoid this.
