Job Description

North Eastern Space Application Centre (NESAC) is an autonomous body functioning under the department of Space and North Eastern Council (NEC) to assist development process in North Eastern Region using space science and technology. It undertakes specific application projects using remote sensing, GIS satellite communication and conducting space science research the center’s services are helpful in natural resources management, infrastructure planning health education disaster management and earth observation application mission.NESAC also hosts a one way and two way CDMA ranging station of ISTRAC which operate on a 24x7 basis for supporting the IRNSS Ground Segment operations.

Qualification : Diploma with First class in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications Engg. from recognized Institutions/ Board/ University

Age : 18-35 years as on closing date of online application.

Application Fee : After registration take two print outs of the application summary. One print-out of the filled-in online application form alongwith ` 100/- Demand Draft should be sent to Sr. Administrative Officer, North Eastern Space Applications Centre, Govt. of India, Dept. of Space, Umiam-793103, Meghalaya on or before 23.08.2018, failing which your candidature will be cancelled and another print out is to be brought along with passport size photograph and documents supporting the data furnished in application at the time of Written Test/Skill Test. Please note that site will not be open for printing after 15:00 hours of 15.08.2018. Kindly write clearly your name on the back side of Demand Draft.

Qualification & Experience:
Essential : M.E/M.Tech in Civil or Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Hydrology/Water Resources or equivalent with B.E/B.Tech in Civil or Agricultural Engineering as prequalification OR M.Sc in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science/RS & GIS with specialization/Dissertation in River/fluvial morphology/Flood Modelling and related areas or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent OR M.Sc in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science/RS & GIS with specialization/Dissertation in River/fluvial morphology/Flood Modelling and related areas or equivalent with N-JET in RS & GIS Specialization OR M.Tech in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science/RS & GIS with specialization/Dissertation in River/fluvial morphology/Flood Modelling and related areas or equivalent.
Desirable : Working experience in relevant areas.
Age Limit : Maximum Age 28 years as on 14.06.2018 (date of walk-in interview) but relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidates. Persons with Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders. Age relaxation as per Government of India orders are applicable to Ex-Servicemen,Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
