Job Description

A walk in interview is scheduled to be held on 29.03.2019 at ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar for the engagement of Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) in project “Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology-Advanced Centre for Livestock Health”(CAAST-ACLH) under National Agricultural Higher Education Project(NAHEP) in time bound project activity as detailed below:-

Essential Qualifications : Master’s degree (M.V.Sc/ M. Tech/M.Sc.) in Veterinary Sciences/ Animal Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics / Microbiology with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduates degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years master’s degree in Life Sciences should have NET** qualification or PhD (awarded) in relevant subject.

Desirable qualification : (i) Experience in working under any Veterinary animal science project dealing with Molecular Biology/ diagnostics, etc. especially with externally (ICAR/DBT/DST/CSIR) funded projects; working knowledge of MS Office, report writing with good command in English. (ii) Experience of analytical works related to animal nutrition, handling and management of farm and laboratory animals and analytical equipment like ELISA, HPLC AND GLC etc. Good knowledge of computers including research data analysis.

Age Limit : The upper age limit will be as per ICAR guidelines as on the date of interview.

A walk-in-interview will be conducted for engagement of 01 Young Professional-II in the Division of Livestock Economics,Statistics and Information Technology.
Qualifications & Experience : Master in Agril. Economics/Livestock Economics/Dairy Economics or Master in Biostatistics or Master in Agril. Extension/Veterinary Extension or Master in Veterinary Epidemiology.
Desirable: Work experience-in terms of published papers,thesis or experience of working in a research project-in carrying out household survey on livestock related issues (viz. socio economics,adoption of improved technologies,impact assessment of livestock technologies, etc.).
Age: The minimum age under Young Professional will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.
