Job Description

Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Manager under the project entitled (Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur) at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Qualification : (Post graduate degree + 8 years of relevant experience) OR (Graduation with 15 years relevant experience) OR (CA/ICWA/CS + 2 years of relevant experience) at supervisory level a Govt. organization or educational institute or in an organization of repute.

Desirable Qualification : Holding a diploma related to computer programming and data entry; Handling of Accounts / Purchase / Import in jobs held earlier; Exposure in a professional setting of: materials management, procurement, accounts and stock verification.

Job Description : 1. Managing Purchases, direct and through Institute by tendering process, Gem-Government e-marketplace. 2. Maintaining accounts statement of FlexE Centre (consumables & equipment-Quarterly/ Monthly/ Yearly). 3. Handling all aspects of purchase including payment to vendors, book-keeping of purchased items, ensuring proper handover of equipment and consumables to right person in the Centre, maintaining files equipment. 4. Maintaining information files for equipment at the FlexE Centre and providing all logistic level support for sending equipment for repair and maintenance. 5. Dealing with departments (Audit/R&D/Central Stores/Accounts/IWD-Pingla) and operating units in resolving day-to-day operational problems.
