Job Description

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training. The Institute plans to engage following positions / project personnel (Indian national only). All engagements are purely on a contractual basis, initially for one-year period from the date of engagement that can be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and the programme needs.

Qualification & Experience : Master's degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Zoology/ Veterinary Science with =1 year experience in relevant field.

Desirable : Working experience of handling wild and captive animals.

Work Description : Rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife species, especially aquatic species.

Age limit : 40 years.

Application Fee : Candidates will make the payment of application processing fee of Rs. 800/- (Rupees Eight hundred only) through the prescribed (Payment Gateway). Candidates belonging to SC, ST need to pay only Rs 100/- as communication fees

The Institute is looking for bright candidates for filling up of Group-A Scientific 05 (five) positions of ‘Scientist-C’ on Direct Recruitment (D.R.) basis. The applications are invited from citizens of India for filling up of the following posts:
Qualification : Master Degree in Wildlife Science/Life Sciences/Computer Science/Veterinary Sciences with 03 (THREE) years experience in wildlife research. OR Ph.D. in any of above fields with 01 (ONE) year experience in the above field.
Age: Not exceeding 31 years in case of candidates possessing Master’s degree and 34 years in case of candidates having Ph.D. degree as on last date of receipt of application.
