Applications are invited on plain paper for the following assignment on a purely time bound Project undertaken in the various Departments / Centres / Schools of the Institute. Interested eligible persons may apply (quote SRIC Reference on the top of the Application) on plain paper giving full bio-data along with attested copies of testimonials and a demand draft of the application fee drawn in favour of IIT Kharagpur payable at Kharagpur on or before last date mentioned against each. Selected candidates shall be allowed to register for MS/PhD subject to their fulfillment of the requirement for MS/PhD admission in IIT Kharagpur.

Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, finance or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. The candidate must have strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Relevant Expereince : 7+ years of work experience with 5+ years of experience in HR/administrative role pertaining to recruitment, training, people management and project tracking. Must have skills in several of the followings: • Interpersonal skills: Should be understanding, empathetic and personable with a positive, professional attitude. Should be able to understand problems, mediate, find solutions and resolve conflicts in an analytical and ethical manner • Leadership & management skills: Should be comfortable working in a highly visible role and must be able to inspire members across all the departments, co-ordinate with department heads and ensure that projects are getting executed in an efficient and timely manner • Communication skills: Should be an effective communicator, both verbally and written. Should be able to articulate the organization’s policies, mission, vision and value proposition to all stake-holders, internal and external • Computer skills: Should be highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) and various HR software programs • Domain knowledge: Should have expertise in HR processes and systems. Should be able to understand the man-power requirements based on the organization’s strategy, formulate and communicate job opening related information to prospective employees through various channels, carry out the various stages of recruitment in an organized and detail oriented manner. Should have knowledge of company policies, labour laws and take pro-active steps to ensure a meritocratic and transparent working environment Responsibilities for the position are several of the followings: • Work with company CEO and/or Director to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees • Recruit, screen, interview, hire and dismiss employees as necessary, following all HR processes and procedures • Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees • Co-ordinate with experts/supervisors required for various events • Continually educate employees on company policies and organize, maintain and update the HR software • Monitor employee progress and stay abreast on company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive • Coordinate and direct work activities for managers and employees • Foster cross functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected • Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments discussing any problems or grievances they may have • Attend to employee complaints and work to resolve conflicts • Initiate and implement any necessary changes to help boost worker productivity (better assessment processes, incentive programs etc.) • Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues Posting: Kolkata

Qualification : JRF : BTech in Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE/NET score OR MTech in Mechanical/Production Engineering-related specializations. SRF : Same as JRF with two years research experience.
Relevant Experience : one to two years in industry/project is preferred.
