Job Description

Online application are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow in Wildlife Institute of India.

Qualification : M.Sc. in Wildlife Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Life Science and other biological sciences with a minimum 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university and research experience of 2 years for the SRF post only.

Desirable Qualification : Preference will be given to candidate with prior experience of working on the subject, ability to work under harsh field conditions.

Description of work : The job involves extensive field work in the tough terrain of Similipal Tiger Reserve, Odisha. The research scholar is required to estimate abundane of large carnivores and their prey species. The study also involves assessment of genetic structure of the tiger population in Similipal. The research fellow is required to generate primary data for the project, analyse the data and write the report.
