Job Description

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging the following Project Personnel for the DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE AND DYNAMIC WEB PORTAL WII-UNDP SECURE HIMALAYA Project purely on contractual basis for a period of eight months.

Qualification Essential : Master’s degree in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Forestry /Ecology/ Computer Science / Environmental Sciences / GIS-Remote Sensing or related subjects from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification : Preference will be given to candidates having good communication, writing, website designing and analytical skills as well as GIS-RS knowledge. One year experience in the Himalayan region, working with stakeholders, will be an advantage.

Work description : Assist faculty and experts in various activities of the project at field sites / HQ, data collection/ compilation, assistance during workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, plans, preparation of maps, presentations and other related activities.

Age limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
