Job Description



supervises and Coordinates Activities of Assigned Shift Including Dynamic Risk Assessment, Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services and Hazardous Material Management. Meets with Staff to Identify and Resolve Problems, Assigns Work Activities and Projects, Monitors Workflow, and Reviews and Evaluates Work Products, Methods and Procedures.

schedules Personnel for Assigned Shift to Ensure Proper Coverage and Manpower; Approves and Schedules Vacation and other Leave Requests; and Prepares Timesheets for all Shift Personnel.

assumes Management Responsibility for all Services, Operations and Activities of Assigned Shift.

manages and Participates in the Development and Implementation of Goals, Objectives and Priorities for Assigned Shift; Recommends and Administer Changes in Fire Section Policies and Procedures.

participates In, Establishes and Monitors Employee Performance Objectives; Prepares and Presents Employee Performance Reviews; Works with Employees to Correct Deficiencies; and Implements Discipline Procedures.

continuously Monitors and Evaluates the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Service Delivery Methods and Procedures; Assesses and Monitors Work Load, Administrative and Support Systems and Internal Reporting Relationships; Identifies Opportunities for Improvement and Reviews with Appropriate Management Staff; and Implements Improvements.

systems, Procedures & Reporting:

prepares a Variety of Reports and other Correspondence Regarding Fire Incidents or other Emergency Incidents On Assigned Shift; Prepares Daily Shift Operations Activity Report; Prepares and Presents Monthly Reports and Submits to Fire Section Head.

works with other Management Staff to Maintain, Revise or Improve the Overall Operations of the Department.

develops and Participates in Company Information Programs Concerning Fire Prevention and Education.

makes Recommendations On Fire Protection System Based On Practical Knowledge and Experience.

education: Completion of Secondary Education (12 Years) Followed By a Higher (or 3 Years) Diploma in Fire Engineering/fire Science. Work Experience: 6 Years Experience in the Refinery Petroleum Company Fire Services Including Three Years as a Lead
