key functions & services

processing: receiving used medical items and equipment, sorting them for reuse or disposal.

cleaning & disinfection: washing, decontaminating, and disinfecting items to remove any contaminants.

sterilisation: eliminating all forms of microbial life using methods like heat (steam or dry heat), chemicals, or radiation to achieve a sterile state.

packaging & labelling: properly packaging and labelling items to maintain sterility, often using methods that indicate they are safe for use.

distribution: storing and distributing sterile supplies to various hospital departments, such as operating rooms, wards, and other areas requiring aseptic procedures.

quality control: monitoring sterilization processes and maintaining records to ensure effectiveness and compliance with standards.
