Job Description

LINE COOK - 2

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during our dining hours

• Maintain accurate food inventories

• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

• Rotate stock items as per established procedures

• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts

• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

• Assist Head Cook in all daily affairs of the Kitchen

Qualifications & Experience

• Class 10 Pass

• 2+ years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry – preferably Continental or Chinese

• Able to read and follow standardized recipes

• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

SENIOR COOK - 1

Financial Indicators:

• Maintains food cost standards and cost.

• Manage waste and deals with reducing inventory cost.

Customer Orientation & Process Indicators:

• The SENIOR COOK will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities.

• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.

• Ensure standardized recipes prepared by Executive Chef are followed and executed in the preparation of every dish

• Establish presentation technique and quality standards.

• Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen.

• Follow Executive Chef’s Recipes and work closely with her in preparing, planning and cooking all dishes

• Prepares work schedules and maintains over time records of his/her staffs.

Learning & Development:

• Trains new hires and guarantees her staff is informed on guidelines regarding safe food handling and storage

Qualifications & Experience

• High School or General Diploma

• 4-6 years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry – preferably Continental or Chinese, with 2 years of independent charge

• Able to read and follow standardized recipes
