Associate Consultant – Research & Evaluation, Mumbai

Core scope of tasks

- Initiate and conceptualize baseline and evaluation studies with project team

- Secondary research on the research study

- Management of qualitative and quantitative research for the study assigned

- Development of tools for information collection

- Coordination and execution of the studies while ensuring the quality of data collection, field briefings, and team training

- Preparation of report with the analysis and findings along with specific recommendations

- Writing blogs, research articles based on the on evaluation results to build a knowledge base

Other knowledge, additional competences

- Knowledge of research methodologies, statistics and data collection tools

- A sound understanding of methods for monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment

- Previous experience in supervising research teams

- Excellent command on spoken and written English

- Command of Hindi and atleast one Indian regional language

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Organized and detail oriented

- Ability to establish rapport and work efficiently with individuals of different ethnicities, socio-economic status, caste, gender and sexual orientation

- Ability to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule

Required Qualifications

- A masters degree in Social Science, Economics or related subject

- A minimum of 1 year experience in research and evaluation

- Prior experience of implementing qualitative and quantitative field research

- Knowledge of excel for data analysis

- Prior experience in writing research reports
