Job Description

Air India Engineering Services Limited ( AIESL) is an Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Organization, approved by DGCA (India) under CAR 145, to undertake MRO activities in India. AIESL invites applications from Indian Nationals fulfilling the requirements as on 01st August 2019 for the post of Aircraft Technicians (A&C and Avionics) & Skilled Tradesmen (Ancillary Trades) from the open market on Fixed Term Employment basis.

Eligibility Criteria : For all candidates other than Ex-servicemen: AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (02 Or 03 years) in Avionics stream from Institutions approved by DGCA under Rule 133B with 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). (Candidates from DGCA approved AME Training Institutes who are eligible, as per current list). Or Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Radio/ Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent recognized by Central/State Government with 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). For Ex-servicemen Successful completion of Group 1 and/or II in the relevant trade or equivalent qualification of Diploma in Engineering conducted by the Indian Air Force, which are acceptable as a qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination. Or Successful Completion of 4 years course/Diploma in Aircraft Electrical Artificer / Air Electrical Radio Artificer or its equivalent trade Training conducted by Indian Navy, which is acceptable as a qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination.

Experience : Candidates must have Minimum one year aviation experience in aircraft maintenance. or Successful completion of national apprenticeship in the concerned trade in aircraft maintenance. (minimum one year duration).

Desirable Experience : candidates with higher experience will be given preference.

Maximum Age Limit : General/EWS-35 Yrs., OBC-38 Yrs. and SC/ST-40 Yrs. Age relaxation to Ex-SM will be permitted as per Govt. directives in this regard.

Application Fee : Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand for Gen,EWS & OBC candidates) and Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five Hundred Only) for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates, by means of A/C Payee Demand Draft in favour of “Air India Engineering Services limited” payable at respective place of walk-in (i.e. Delhi /Mumbai/ Kolkata/Hyderabad).

About Air India Engineering Services Limited

Qualification : 10+2 from a recognized Board/University.
Upper Age Limit : 40 Years for SC/ST and 38 Years for OBC Candidates. (Ex-Servicemen belonging to reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules).
Technical/Licence Qualifications for Senior Trainee Pilots : Candidates should be in possession of Indian:
a. Current Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India
b. Current CPL/ATPL issued by DGCA, India
c. Current FRTO issued by DGCA, India
d. Instrument rating on A-320/B-737/B-777/B-787 aircraft on Indian CPL/ALTP, issued by DGCA, India
e. Current RTR (A) or RTR(P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India or
equivalent acceptable to DGCA India
f. Valid A-320/B-737/B-777/B-787 Aircraft Endorsement/Type Rating on Indian CPL/ATPL
g. Valid ELP on CPL/ATPL
Note for Senior Trainee Pilots : Candidates should be in possession of the above Technical/Licence Qualifications as “CURRENT” at the time of last date of receipt of application and Simulator Proficiency Assessment Check (SPAC) as well as at the time of joining.
Technical/Licence Qualifications for Trainee Pilots:
Candidates should be in possession of Indian:
a) Current Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate issued by DGCA, India
b) Current CPL/ATPL issued by DGCA, India
c) Current FRTO issued by DGCA, India
d) Current RTR (A) or RTR(P) or RTR(C) issued by WPC, Ministry of Communication, India
e) Valid ELP on CPL/ATPL
f) Multi-engine Endorsement: with a minimum of 25 hours on Multi-engine aircraft (10 hours can
be completed on an approved multi-engine Simulator)
g) Instrument rating
Note for : Candidates should fulfill the above Eligibility Criteria with regard to age, qualification and should also be in possession of the technical qualifications as indicated at (a) to (e) above as “CURRENT“ on the last date of receipt of application and at the time of verification of documents prior to Personal Interview as well as at the time of reporting for training.
