The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is an autonomous academic national institution of the Department of Science & Technology,Govt. of India dedicated
to research in Astronomy,Astrophysics and Allied Sciences & Technology.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Qualification : Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Desirable : Basic knowledge and some experience in the following:
a) Manufacturing processes
b) Mechanical drawings
c) Measuring tools like Vernier Calliper, Micrometer, etc.
d) Microsoft Office and CAD tools like Solid works.
