Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and support MySQL database replication

2. Restoring: point-in-time, restore a master

3. Backups: table, databases, utilities needed for backing up, effects on table types

4. Query tuning: adding/removing indexes, rewriting queries for better performance

5. Optimize MySQL database performance

6. Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases;

7. Configuration tuning: for query and overall database performance .

8. work on MySQL version

9. Monitoring, maintaining and improving the database architecture of large-scale enterprise

systems to ensure 24/7 availability.

10. Performance optimization techniques and implementation.

11. Availability for on-call emergency response.

12. Manage data backups and disaster recovery processes.

13. Query optimization, query design and DB profiling.

14. Maintaining RDS based MySQL infra and administration.

15. MySQL troubleshooting

16. Strong knowledge and hands on experience related to mission critical backup and recovery.

17. Production experience implementing and managing replication.

18. Able to write scripts in an administrative language.

19. Strong experience with load balancing and high volume, availability MySQL environments.

20. Experience implementing solutions for database performance monitoring and tuning.

21. Strong knowledge of AWS RDS maintenance & administration.

22. Availability for on-call emergency response.

23. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
